Autograph letter signed, dated : Paris, 30 July 1825, to [Ignaz] Moscheles, 1825 July 30.

Thanking him for his letter, saying he has received la montre from Vogt, congratulating him on his successes, adding that the only land in which he would not be a success is the land of the deaf, expressing the hope that Moscheles found the new sonata for piano four-hands interesting, adding that he is working on a Grande Rondo [for piano] with orchestra, that he has written six vocal pieces and other small works, mentioning Rossini, Meyerbeer's [Il] crociato [in Egitto], Spontini, Sébastien Erard, Hummel, Collard, Mme Fleming, etc.
